The Chronicle is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join its team. This is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days in our Washington DC office. The Marketing Specialist, Client Services conducts post-sales marketing campaigns for The Chronicle s sponsor content product to ensure a client s lead or impression promise is met. Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Client Services, the Marketing Specialist, Client Services also manages the relationship between the Chronicle and its clients. What s in it for you? What you ll do: Schedule and lead kick-off calls with clients to go over campaign parameters and timelines, and answer client questions regarding products and campaigns. Implement and help manage multi-channel marketing campaigns through email automation, web banners, social media, etc. Design emails, landing pages, articles, etc. for marketing campaigns including Chronicle Intelligence, Chronicle Studio, sponsored content, etc., working with the creative services team on campaign asset creation and the advertising operations team with newsletter, print and website banner placements and updates. Discuss campaign underperformance with Director, Marketing & Client Services and implement recommended changes to campaigns, such as more money allocation to drivers, driver content updates, or other resolutions. Produce monthly metric reports to analyze campaign performance against client goals with respect to impressions and/or page views, utilizing software such as Google Ad Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Iterable, etc., to optimize a client s sponsored content. Collaborate with Director of Digital Analytics & Business Intelligence to resolve issues pertaining to the Adobe Analytics or Blueconic software, and partner with the marketing operations team on Marketo database updates. Complete monthly report on paid social media spend that reflects the total spend for each month. Qualifications: A Bachelor s degree in marketing, business or communication, and at least three years of relevant experience to include client-facing and office experience. Proficiency with project management software Proficiency in multi-channel marketing campaigns, to include email, social media, etc. Strong attention to detail for forward planning, building email programs, driver placements, etc. for marketing campaigns. Strong organizational, project management and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to anticipate the needs of freelancers and clients.
