Mold Repair Apprentice

The Mold Repair Apprentice performs machine tool work, welding, brazing or bench work required in making repairs and alterations to molds, blanks, bottom plates or finish equipment. This position may also include machine tool or bench work on new mold equipment. The Mold Repair Apprentice will:Mill welds and repair jigs and fixtures. Make changes in design or capacity of the molds. Be expected to complete the 4-year apprentice program, which includes on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Be interviewed by the Apprenticeship Committee of the United Steel Workers, Local 64 The Mold Repair Apprentice should have:Shift: Monday Friday. Hours: 6:00 am 2:30 pm. Previous experience in machine lathe and mill, reading blueprints and drawings, precision measuring devices and bench repair and welding.
