DuPont Water & Protection is looking for an experienced Plant Process Control Coordinator for our Richmond, Virginia Manufacturing Site. The Resource will work as a key team member in one of the Manufacturing organizations (Kevlar , Nomex , Tyvek ) and leads efforts to increase the safety, robustness/reliability, and productivity of our manufacturing systems while optimizing production efficiency through process control and automation technology maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Owner of the plant process control systems and ensure systems are maintained and upgraded in coordination with plant outages/opportunities.
• Provide first line troubleshooting on process control systems and applications. Assignment will require on-call support.
• Coordinates regular and scheduled maintenance activities on Process Automation (PA) systems with vendor/contractor support and other internal and external maintenance functions.
• Evaluates risks to ensure safe and reliable plant operations during troubleshooting and maintenance activities on control systems and applications.
• Ensures all changes follow a Management of Change (MOC) process and are properly tested prior to loading into a production system per plant procedures.
• Participates on project/improvement teams and implements small projects.
• Maintain physical and cyber security of control systems, including backups, patches, and updates.
• Works with members of operations and maintenance to identify improvement opportunities e.g., in the field of automation and process control
• Implements and supports control system best practices.
• Coordinates and escalates troubleshooting as required.

Qualifications:

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience required
• 3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience required
• PLC and/or Distributed Control System experience required
• Rockwell Control Logix and/or Honeywell TDC/Experion experience preferred
• Fiber or Paper Manufacturing experience preferred
• Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process/Low Hazard Operation) experience preferred

• Ability to understand / support complex operation with sophisticated machinery and technically challenging processes.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Excellent in hardware and software development and skills.
• Effective in understanding automation networks.
• Experienced in control systems (i.e., Honeywell, Rockwell).
• Working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical installations (Motor Control Centers, etc.).
