DuPont Water & Protection is looking for an experienced
Plant Process Control Coordinator for our
Richmond, Virginia Manufacturing Site. The Resource will work as a key team member in one of the Manufacturing organizations (
Kevlar ,
Nomex ,
Tyvek ) and leads efforts to increase the safety, robustness/reliability, and productivity of our manufacturing systems while optimizing production efficiency through process control and automation technology maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:- Owner of the plant process control systems and ensure systems are maintained and upgraded in coordination with plant outages/opportunities.
- Provide first line troubleshooting on process control systems and applications. Assignment will require on-call support.
- Coordinates regular and scheduled maintenance activities on Process Automation (PA) systems with vendor/contractor support and other internal and external maintenance functions.
- Evaluates risks to ensure safe and reliable plant operations during troubleshooting and maintenance activities on control systems and applications.
- Ensures all changes follow a Management of Change (MOC) process and are properly tested prior to loading into a production system per plant procedures.
- Participates on project/improvement teams and implements small projects.
- Maintain physical and cyber security of control systems, including backups, patches, and updates.
- Works with members of operations and maintenance to identify improvement opportunities e.g., in the field of automation and process control
- Implements and supports control system best practices.
- Coordinates and escalates troubleshooting as required.
Qualifications:- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience required
- PLC and/or Distributed Control System experience required
- Rockwell Control Logix and/or Honeywell TDC/Experion experience preferred
- Fiber or Paper Manufacturing experience preferred
- Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process/Low Hazard Operation) experience preferred
Capabilities Required for this Role (Knowledge Skills & Abilities)- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand / support complex operation with sophisticated machinery and technically challenging processes.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Excellent in hardware and software development and skills.
- Effective in understanding automation networks.
- Experienced in control systems (i.e., Honeywell, Rockwell).
- Working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical installations (Motor Control Centers, etc.).
