Job Description:a.i. solutions is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting, independent employee responsible for providing flight safety support for launches at Wallops Flight Facility. The support can be remote for experienced individuals. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customer.
Location: Remote or Wallops Flight Facility (Wallops Island, VA)
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:- Flight Safety Analyst Experience on orbital or sub-orbital launch vehicles
- Ability to perform safety analysis on launch vehicles leading up to launch
Minimum Requirements:- 10+ years of experience with NASA, DoD, or other range safety operations
- Experience with range safety analysis tools and flight safety analysis for orbital or sub-orbital launch vehicles
- Obtain successful completion of a government background check
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Skills- Proficiency in conducting failure mode analyses
- Ability to assess mission/safety destruct lines (MDL)
- Experience assessing potential collision avoidance scenarios
- Examining ship and aircraft hazard contours
- Analysis of Distant Focusing Overpressure
- Proactive in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
